How did WhispersRed ASMR start?
Emma got into ASMR after being a car accident that left her with PTSD and was looking for a way to manage her stress.
Other WhispersRed ASMR social channels below
Emma has a number of other social channels she is active on promoting her favourite causes.
Emma’s ASMR triggers are based around creating a comforting and safe environment for her viewers and listeners.
I found, like many of her subscribers, that her content is super relaxing and can be used to either hep me with getting to sleep or as background noise to help me relax or concentrate on some tasks in hand. Like writing this article!
So typically the sorts of triggers you can expect are those that are more gentle and passive. No fast and aggressive styles of ASMR here!
The triggers I find most common in her content are: whispers, using a quiet or soft voice,. She also uses quite a lot of slow speaking styles along wit hteh whispering.
There is a lot of personal attention in her content . Featuring actions such as hair brushing, head and body massages, lots of face touching and hand movements as well.
Emma also makes full use of other external objects to create sounds like the ever popular fabric sounds with crinkles. And tapping and scratching which also align nicely with body sounds created from ear cleaning and skin contact sounds.
Key Benefits of the WhispersRed ASMR channel
So as mentioned before WhispersRed creates a safe and welcoming environment for people to watch and listen to her content.
As someone said in the comments, ‘it’s like listening to the wind and rain under a warm cosy blanket’ – which sums it up perfectly for me!
Anyway, here are some of the benefits I get from watching Emma’s videos.
Relaxation – just the whole nature of Emma’s approach is super relaxing. She really does transport you to another place!
Sleep – if you are struggling to get to sleep or have insomnia she is probably the number one fixer of all things to do with sleep. Her quiet, personal approach and slow paced conversations are geared up to help you fall asleep. Happy dreams!
Stress relief – her ability to relax and calm you really enables you to forget about your day to day worries. And perhaps get a bit of perspective on your own issues.
I find my mind wandering all over the place when watching her videos. And that is when I often get great insights and make, hopefully, better decisions.
Sound Therapy – she is really good at creating the right sounds, both in pitch and pace, that makes it easy to zone out.
Silence – this is an often underrated ASMR trigger. Or help to set triggers off. Too often people feel the need to fill silences with conversation, sounds or actions.
In fact those pauses, or gaps of silence really help accentuate the impact of the triggers. Taking time for a period of silence can be difficult. We are always expected to be ‘on’ or busy doing something, anything. But taking the time to really properly enjoy the moments that silence can create is very therapeutic. At least it is for me.
Helps meditation – as we have said the whole environment that is created on WhispersRed is one of managed calm. Take the time to meditate using your favourite video as gentle background noise. This is what I do.
Pro Tip – use video content that you know really well as this way there are no unexpected distractions.
WhispersRed Most popular video
ASMR Fabric Sounds No Talking – 21m views
This was the most popular we could find. Emma has been busy and produced over 150 ASMR videos!
The 3.5 hour compilation video is of many different types of fabric sounds. About 28 in total! All with the sole purpose of relaxing you and calming you down. Lovely.
There is no talking apart from some unintelligible sounds and whispering.
Fabric sounds is very much an underrated trigger. Not sure why there aren’t more ‘pure’ fabric ASMR videos. There are often some fabric elements in some content. But not that many pure videos.
Anyway, enjoy this very popular, pure play, ASMR Fabric sounds from WhispersRed ASMR!
Quirks and features
For me this isn’t a quirk, it’s a great feature. Emma is involved with an animal sanctuary in Serbia helping rescue and manage the animals that need help.
She has merchandise available on her YouTube channel here.
Have a look and see if you can support, in any way, Whispaws Animal Sanctuary.
Emma is a qualified sound therapist and reiki practitioner.
Myers–Briggs Type Indicator: INFP (I was INTJ when last tested!)
What I like about WhispersRed ASMR
WhispersRed has been producing really high quality, high tingle, ASMR videos for a number of years now.
And one of the best things about Emma’s work is how she manages to both innovate and also keep up the high standards we have some to expect from her.
Emma always comes across as so caring and understanding. Like she really wants what is best for you. I think it’s because she has a very expressive face and maintains eye contact with you. (Ok, I know it’s a camera, but you know what I mean!)
And her eyes are super expressive and connect with you as well. Maybe it’s just me! But I think the reason she is popular is not only the quality of her work but the quality of her as an individual as well. At least the one we are exposed to via her videos.
My favourite WhispersRed ASMR video
This 42 minute hair spa, not hair salon, video is a particular favourite of mine.
The main feeling you get from this is one of pure relaxation with some really nice tingle triggers (hair dryer, hair brushing, rain sounds, mouth clicks) to set you off as you watch and listen. Emma’s super smooth, slow delivery of her soft voice is ideal for calming you down.
You start of with Emma paying close personal attention as always and settling you into the Spa. From there there is a full on hair washing, conditioning, cutting, drying and brushing adventure!
Our key highlights are at 33:07 rainfall, rain drops and wind with a hair dryer in the background. And the rinsing off shampoo with running water and rustling at 13:32
There is so much extra detail in this, and other videos. It’s what makes WhispersRed ASMR such a compelling, pure ASMR experience.
If you are looking to relax, chill out, calm down, de stress or fall asleep – this is the video for you!
