And they are always shot in a really rich way that somehow softens the visual impact. I hope that makes sense! Either way it is really relaxing and soothing and also very cosy at the same time.

Aids Sleep – a lot of the video content on this channel has a really nice , relaxed flow to it and are often created with minimal talking, often ‘no talking’ and the sound quality is good so there is very little to distract you.

What we really like about Tokyo ASMR Massage

As I said above these video have a high production quality all the way through from the people taking apart to the places where the video is filmed and the actually quality of the videos and sound.

I like that they mostly stick to the topics they know, barbering, massages, cleaning, hair cuts and facials. This means they are done well and always satisfy any trigger itches you may have!

I don’t know if it’s just me viewing the Japanese culture from outside, but there is such a sense of respect between everyone that makes for a really pleasant vibe. So much less unnecessarily antagonistic than a lot of other channels.

I think this channel shows the best Japanese ASMR massage styles there are.

You know when a new Tokyo ASMR video is released it will be good. And they are pretty consistent with their release schedule of about 2 or 3 new videos each week.

Upscale barbershop in Tokyo inc. haircut & massage

I really like this video. I often come back to it when there are no new ones that really look like they will give me some triggers.

This is a really relaxed video that has a haircut, shave, massage, hair wash, neck and shoulder massage and finally styling with a blow dry.

The lady doing the haircut has a really soft voice although you only really hear it in the beginning introductions. And the gentleman getting the haircuts looks totally blissed out!

Triggers include soft voice, haircuts, massages, shaving, scissor sounds, personal attention, scrubbing sounds, scraping sounds, water sounds, buzzing sounds, soapy hands, combing, scratching, towel rubbing and deep head massage.

Old Japanese Barbershop

This is like a complete story in one go. Love it! The Yamaguchi Barber Shop which operates daytime and night time sessions is so atmospheric from the piano playing, clock ticking and hundreds of jazz records it is the most relaxing barbershop ever. I would love to go there – website here!

Anyway, onto the actual barbering which takes place at night and consists of hair washing, hair cut, neck shave, a couple of massages including scalp, neck and shoulder, shave, facial massage, ear shave, piano playing and then hair drying and styling.

It is really calming, and soothing and stylish with lots of the usual barber ASMR triggers including scissor cutting, washing sounds and shaving.

Haircuts and Ear Cleaning at a Barber Shop

This final example is of a shampoo, hair rinse, massage, ear cleaning, shave and hair drying.

Taking place at Hiro Ginza Shimbashi Hibiyaguchi” in Tokyo it is an intense but satisfying experience for both the person getting the treatment and you of course.

The triggers are pretty strong particularly around the shampooing and scalp massage. Really satisfying from an ASMR point of view.

This is a really relaxing and well paced experience that am sure you will enjoy with over 1.4 million views so far. I will be adding to that quite a few more times!
